Clinical Supervision for Therapists
For licensure candidates, alternative track drama therapists, or working professionals who are seeking creative, empowering and comprehensive support, as you work to achieve licensure, credentials and professional goals.
my philosophy
Being a new or seasoned therapist is challenging and complex, and you still deserve to feel joyful and empowered in the meaningful work that you do; creatively based supervision can help you do just that.
Hi, I’m Ashley.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT), and Registered Drama Therapist (RDT), as well as a Board Certified Trainer (BCT) [ of Drama Therapy]. With over 20 years of experience in the field, I have worked across a wide range of populations and clinical settings, bringing depth, flexibility, and cultural responsiveness to my practice. In addition to my clinical work, I teach at the graduate level, supporting the next generation of therapists in developing both strong clinical foundations and authentic therapeutic presence.
My supervision style is creative, playful, and strength-based, while remaining clinically comprehensive and grounded in best practices. I aim to create a collaborative space where curiosity, embodiment, and reflection are encouraged, allowing supervisees to deepen their skills, expand their confidence, and integrate expressive and traditional approaches in meaningful ways.
Supervision with me will focus on:
Developing clinical skills relevant to your interests and work place
Increasing compassion for clients who are hard to relate to
Discussing ethical questions, challenges and dilemmas
Enhance meaningful self care
Brainstorm creative therapeutic interventions
WHAT WE’LL EXPLORE TOGETHER
Case Conceptualization
We discuss current client cases to navigate therapeutic challenges and successes, to collaboratively develop effective, person-centered interventions.
Creativity
Regardless of your therapeutic orientation, connecting with your creativity can be a powerful tool for deepening connection with clients and developing innovative therapeutic interventions.
Cultural Humility
We will explore topics that are culturally relevant to your specific clients, along with other aspects of identity. In doing so, we will also examine potential blind spots to support the provision of culturally competent care.
Boundaries & Self Care
As a helping professional committed to giving your best, maintaining clear boundaries and prioritizing self-care are essential—and will be central to our work together.
Ethics
Ethical dilemmas are common in the workplace, though they can be difficult to fully grasp through academic learning alone. Together, we will explore these situations in a way that supports you in maintaining your values and sense of self as a therapist.
Personal Identity
Your role as a therapist is likely still evolving, and I will support you in clarifying your current direction and next professional steps so you can feel grounded and fulfilled from the start.

The work we do in supervision is focused on your experience in your therapeutic role and professional development. Personal therapy, on the other hand, is best explored with a separate provider, where you can focus fully on your own life and experiences. While topics such as transference, countertransference, and other personal dynamics may arise in supervision, they are addressed in service of your growth as a clinician. Engaging in your own therapy outside of supervision can be a valuable support during this stage of your professional journey.
